Have a 'return policy.'

If you are calling a bookstore to set up a book signing event and you are asked if your book in "Print on Demand," answer, "No." The bookstore doesn't really care how your book was printed, what they are really asking is whether or not your book is 'returnable.' Answer that question with your return policy, such as "I offer a full 120 day return policy."

Avoid "Predator" Service Providers!

These are the service providers who solicit you first, then ask to see your project. They take one (very brief) look at your book or manuscript and find some glaring fault with it. Lo and Behold - the fault they find is exactly one that you can pay them to fix!

Their trademark is to make you feel insecure about the quality of your project in order to create a demand for their services.

Find your service providers by personal referrals from people who have used those service providers and would still recommend those service providers.

Anyone searching you out is highly suspect! Protect yourself - at a minimum, get referrals from their clientele before you agree to hire them!

Virtually all recent medical research on aging points to the fact that the human animal, you and me included, has the potential to live up to 120 years of age.

That means 120 active, happy and productive years ... not years in a rocking chair, wheel chair or nursing home. That being the case, THE SECOND HALF of our lives does indeed BEGIN AT 60.... However, since most of us have spent the first part of our lives mistreating our God given equipment, this human body of ours; so we may not all make it to 120. But the good news is that most of us should be able to make it to 100 and well over. This book is dedicated at giving us the best possible chance at reaching as near as possible to our true life potential.

Let's re-emphasize, we are talking about healthy, happy, active and productive years full of the things we enjoy doing.

How often have you heard the question, 'If you had it to do over again, what would you change?' Well, if you are coming up on 50, theoretically, you do have it all to do over again. Just think what you should be able to do with those years, knowing all that you've learned in the first 50! They don't really care about the real answer to that question... bookstores do not care how your book was manufactured. The real question they are asking you is, "Are your books returnable?"

Print on Demand books typically are not returnable and therefore, bookstores do not like to do book signings with authors who books are "Print on Demand."

If you do get asked this question, answer with your return policy. "No, my books come with 100% return guarantee."
